Liz Hardy - Plays with words
Copywriting, Proof-reading & Editing

Hello, and welcome to my website.

‘Liz Hardy Plays with words’ is a small company based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, which works hard to improve your written communications. These communications may be web content, newsletters, blogs, application forms, letters, business plans, proposals, speeches, CVs, essays*, or any number of other formats, but they should all be optimised to communicate your message to your desired market with clarity and style.

More about me

Throughout my academic and employment history, I have consistently been complimented on my writing style and attention to detail. I've always loved the written word - reading extensively and wanting to kick things when professional publications contain spelling mistakes and blatant errors, or are just poorly written. I guess you could easily call me a ‘stickler’.

In an increasingly ‘Glocal’ marketplace, written content has become more and more important, as customers seek tiny differentiating points when choosing who to buy from. In a world where spam emails and marketing scams are increasingly common, we tend not to trust emails, websites and other publications which do not read in the way we would expect them to. It seems a massive shame to miss out on a potential client solely because your written communications aren’t up to scratch. That’s where I come in.

I work with companies and individuals from around the planet, operating in many different industries, ensuring they get their message across, removing jargon, and improving textual flow so that potential customers/employers/markers can see exactly what you have to offer.

I take time to really get to know my clients, their aims, and what they’re best at, before putting that message across in a way which reflects their personality, and that appeals to their target audience.

I am always open to discussing collaborations with other freelancers and businesses, so if you think we could work together, please do get in touch.

*I do not condone plagiarism, and I will NOT write an essay for you. As an editor or proof-reader, I am, however, happy to discuss ideas and offer advice, and will ensure that you communicate your points in a clear way.
